A new study published in the journal Pediatrics has linked the pesticides found on berries, celery, and other produce to an increased incidence of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children. Though researchers did not find a direct link between these organophosphate pesticides and ADHD, they do recommend that people reduce their exposure to them by eating organic foods, buying food from farmer's markets, or thoroughly washing fruits and other produce before eating them.
