A Swedish study suggests that stimulants such as Ritalin may help treat ADHD in adults as well as children, and with fewer side effects. Researchers in Stockholm followed 133 adults for two years. The most common side effects were reduced appetite, an elevated heart rate, and dry mouth. Experts say studies like these are needed because many adult ADHD patients are being left untreated.
