A new drug to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has shown good results in a new study. Guanfacine extended release (GXR) greatly improved ADHD symptoms in children ages 6 to 17 in the new clinical trial. The drug's maker, Shire, is seeking approval for GXR to be used by children who have ADHD.
