People with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can switch from immediate-release forms of their ADHD medicines to a new controlled-release form without lowering the drugs' effectiveness, a new study suggests. The controlled-release formula is called a SODAS (spheroidal oral drug-absorption system). It is one-half immediate-release beads and one-half extended-release beads. This makes the drug able to release different doses of medicines over a long period of time.
