According to pediatrician Dr. Alan Rosenblatt, attention-deficit disorder can be diagnosed in preschoolers. Early signs of the disorder include not sitting still and the inability to focus on an activity for any length of time. Rosenblatt says parental supervision, behavioral therapy, and--in rare cases-- low doses of medication can effectively treat ADD in young patients.
