A new study suggests that one-a-day Ritalin may be less likely to be abused than other attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder meds. Researchers found that emergency rooms reported fewer drug-related visits due to the slow-release version of Ritalin. Some other ADHD meds release their entire dose of methylphenidate immediately, making them more likely targets of abuse.
