Methylphenidate Use

Ruling may help drugmaker meet Daytrana demand

Noven Pharmaceuticals, maker of Daytrana, has received approval from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) to increase the company's quota for methylphenidate. The DEA made this move after Noven said it needed more methylphenidate, a federally controlled substance, in order to meet the high demand for Daytrana. Daytrana is a methylphenidate skin patch that's used to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Read more »
