Spect Scan Adhd
A reporter at ABC-affiliate KTRK in Houston looks at how a special brain scan helped a doctor better diagnose and prescribe medication for one boy's symptoms of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The SPECT scan uses a radioactive isotope to give doctors a picture of the brain as it completes a task. With this information, a doctor in Texas was able to diagnose her patient's symptoms and alter his ADHD medicines to a more effective treatment.
