Tests For Hyperactive Children

Pediatricians: Heart test not needed to take ADHD meds

The American Academy of Pediatrics says that children taking stimulants for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder do not need a heart test before using the medications. This contradicts the advice from the American Heart Association earlier this year that kids have an electrocardiogram before taking stimulants.
