Study: Trileptal doesn't prevent migraines

Though many epilepsy medications are effective at treating migraines, new research has found that the epilepsy drug Trileptal (oxcarbazepine) doesn't prevent the severe headaches. In a new study, doctors gave 170 migraine patients either Trileptal or a placebo for five months. They found no difference in migraine frequency among patients who received the medication and those who received the placebo. Read more »
