Buying Gifts for Children with ADHD

(Page 2)

Other items for creative children include notebooks to be used for journals, musical instruments, books on making paper airplanes, a book on photography and a digital camera (maybe include a photo album).

For children that spend time playing video games, consider gift certificates for game rentals. There are also books and magazines about many of the popular games.

Magazine subscriptions are available for just about any interest.  No matter whether they are interested in music, fashion or the latest movie, there are books and magazine subscriptions that will fit both their personality and interests.

Children from about the age of 7 and up may enjoy spending time with you. Give coupons for a once a month outing that you can do together or a coupon for a special trip to lunch and the movies. Giving of yourself and your time is often one of the most precious gifts.

Other suggestions:

  • Age-Appropriate Models
  • Hand Held Computer Games
  • Puzzles
  • Books

No matter what you may decide to give as a gift, if you give from your heart based on the needs and interests of the child, then your gift will be a welcome addition during the holidays.
