Former ADHD kids suffer lifelong sleep problems: study

Adolescents who were diagnosed with ADHD as children are more likely to have lifelong sleep problems than those who were never diagnosed, a new study suggests. Researchers found that out of 281 teens, those who had been given an ADHD diangosis as kids were more likely to have nightmares and insomnia than their healthy peers--even if their ADHD was well managed. The study found that nightmares were more common in girls, while snoring was more common in boys. Experts say this study is just the latest in a string of studies that have linked ADHD with poor sleep.   Read full story >
