Generic ADHD med recalled for potential dose problem

Drugmaker Barr Laboratories has recalled one lot of generic Adderall tablets, saying the drugs may be too potent. Side effects from taking the overly-potent tablet may include racing heartbeat, panic, restlessness, headache, and euphoria. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says the oval, peach-colored tablet of dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, and amphetamine sulfate bears the lot number 311756, and is embossed with "b/973" on one side and "2/0" on the other side.  Read full story >
