PTSD linked to attention deficit disorder

Soldiers returning from war in Iraq who have post-traumatic stress disorder show signs of attention deficit disorder up to a year after returning home, researchers say. The study found that PTSD caused attention problems and made veterans more likely to overreact to situations in a way that impacted their daily lives. Experts say the study is important not just for veterans, but because it suggests that persistent stress may lead to long-term attention problems in other people as well.  Read full story >
