Ground beef recalled over E. coli illnesses

Fairbank Farms manufacturer has recalled almost 546,000 pounds of ground beef over concerns that it may be contaminated with E. coli bacteria. The beef was sold at Trader Joe's, Price Chopper, Lancaster, Wild Harvest, Shaw's, BJ's, Ford Brothers, and Giant stores. The company says that each package carries the number "EST. 492" on the label. Experts say anyone who has eaten the Fairbank Farms beef and who experiences symptoms of food poisoning should contact a doctor.  Read full story >
