Mother's Age May Double Autism Risk: Study

A new study has found that a woman's risk of giving birth to a child who will later be diagnosed with autism doubles if she is over the age of 40. A man's age also contributes to autism risk--but only if the mother is younger than age 30, researchers found. The study from California includes data on 4.9 million births and 12,159 autism cases.  Read full story >
