Ten Ways to Organize Your Children

(Page 2)

8) Use a notebook to break down large tasks.  Things such as cleaning their room, large school projects or other tasks can be broken down into steps.  Keeping a list in a notebook will give your child the opportunity to look at the list when the chore or task comes up again.

9) Set up a system of rewards.  If you see your child struggling in a certain area, whether it is helping around the house or completing homework, set up a game or chart and have them keep track of their progress.  Have them earn a small reward for their efforts and improvements.

10) Implement home organization to set the example that organization will help them to succeed.
