METADATE CD Oral Interactions

Drug interactions may change how your medications work or increase your risk for serious side effects. This document does not contain all possible drug interactions. Keep a list of all the products you use (including prescription/nonprescription drugs and herbal products) and share it with your doctor and pharmacist. Do not start, stop, or change the dosage of any medicines without your doctor's approval.

Avoid taking MAO inhibitors (isocarboxazid, linezolid, methylene blue, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, rasagiline, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within 2 weeks before and during treatment with this medication. In some cases a serious (possibly fatal) drug interaction may occur.

Some brands of this drug may be affected by a change in the amount of acid in your stomach. If you are taking a product to decrease stomach acid (such as antacids, ranitidine, omeprazole), check with your pharmacist to see if your brand may be affected.
