Hello,

In your article you said most people recieve shots for 3-5 years. I am going on 10 years now getting shots and my allergies are still not controlled well at all. I frequently get sinusitis due to them and have about 5 or 6 sinus infections per year. The shots do not seem to be helping and my allergies get worse after I get them. Any suggestions?

hi my child reached his mainenance level 3 shots ago and says it hurts a lot each time he gets his shot.  What can we do to lessen the pain at shot time.  We are considering stopping shots and hoping his body has reached a tolerance level that will require only OTC meds.

I started  allergy shots 4 months ago , 3 shots every week .  I noticed the last 2 months ,after the shots , I feel  more tired, restless, shaky , hard to sleep , especially when I  was under other stress!

One incident: a morning after having the 3 shots  , I woke up in sweat, soaking wet in my chest , felt gloom& doom, depressed, nearly come to tears, very tired , the experience was so scary !

Is it the effect of a combination of allergy shots & menopausal problems & stress?  I kind of don't want to take the next allergy shots. I'm still scared of the experience.

Hi,

I was wondering if it was common for allergy shots to be painful, not the actual shot itself, but the area where the shot was given afterward. I often have large swelling (usually the size of my palm on just 1 of the 4 injection sites) and it is painful just to gently rub my hand over it and it stays that way the entire day. Everytime I tell them they say as long as it's not a white weal then it's okay...
