I contacted allergist today for results from blood work done in November and learned I have a very high IgE level. Meaning what, exactly? My body is fighting with itself? Also, the tests done indicate glucose in urine, negative on testing for allergy to Plums, and to top it all off, hypothyroidism. My fear now is with no allergy to Plum, my guts say it's the preservative or insecticide/pesticide that was on the fruit to begin with. As I thought from the very beginning. Scary as the chemical thing can be harder to watch out for!
I am doing Health Fair blood work on Monday, Dr. appt on Tuesday. The serum for my allergy shots is ready and I can start anytime but some things we need to get out of the way first. At this point, do I continue with my new MD or go to Endoctronologist? Something I intend to bring up. My hubby also noted something about some deals you put on your feet and it pulls toxic waste from your body? Whatever! I told him not to waste money on it right now.

The IgE is the immunoglobulin E, an antibody associated with allergies. It is the indicator that your body is reacting to an allergen of some kind. Further testing is needed to determine what. You can read more about the IgE here.
You have also have a couple of issues going on. If you have glucose in your urine, it's possible you have symptoms of diabetes. If you have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, you have Hashimoto's thyroiditis a condition where the body's immune system develops antibodies that attack the thyroid. Lot's to look at. There is a lot of information there to help you ask the right questions to help your doctor diagnose what is going on and to help you manage your health.

The tough thing is the diagnosis. Once you know what you are dealing with, then you can begin to figure out how to manage your care. Make sure you keep a journal so you can write down when something happens that you want to ask the doctor about.
