Neti pot (nasal irrigation), Acupuncture, ayurveda and many herbs have been proven to work on allergies.  Check this site out http://www.rvita.com/conditions/allergies.html

Hi Neil2007,

Natural remedies can be good. But one should always speak to their doctor about what they are taking to make sure there are no interactions with anything else. Here is a patient guide for treatments usually prescribed for allergies, and there is some information here about other treatments.

Take care and stay in touch!

I agree, only a few percentage of the population goes solely to natural therapiest.  Most of us want to make  sure our PCP knows what's going on.

That's why http://www.rvita.com is an ICAM site, i.e. we have integrative medicine MD as our chief medical advisor.

Hi Neil2007,

Thanks for the information about rvita.com, but from what I have seen it is more of a marketing site for therapists and naturalists and less of an information network.

There are resident experts on Health Central who have not only been practicing their medicine for some time, but in many cases are patients themselves. Learning from their experience has really helped many people through Health Central.

Thanks again!
