dermathitis

By Andrea Wednesday, July 11, 2007

Hi everyone,

It is two years that I have been affected by a dermathitis.

It hit only my right hand in the beginning and later hit the left one.

I had a patch test (prove allergiche) in Italy where I was living at the time. Negative.

The doctor told me that I wasn't allergic to anything due to the results.

I use vaseline whenever and other handcreams when I believe this is necessary.

When things get worse, then I use Betametasone.

I handle cash every day and coins too. Someone told me that the copper coins could be the cause.

What is your opinion based on what I have written in this message?

Any feedback will be much appreciated.

Thanks. Andrea

Our pages on Contact Dermatitis include information about common allergens, including Nickel or other metals. The federal government's Medline Plus includes information about Betamethasone Topical. The Mayo Clinic's Allergy Center has more information about Nickel Allergy. Thanks for writing.
