I suffered from Allergies for the last 6yrs.Problem Solved !

Tuesday, January 01, 2008 at 03:49 AMI suffer from Hayfever, Cat Hair, Dust.. you name it. I tried over the counter meds for years.. only to find myself tired , groggy and them immune to them eventually. I tried Several Anti Histamine products and they made me tired as well. I had a friend that was taking Zyrtec and almost immediatly started feeling better without any side effects. She gve me 2 tablets(10mg) I know your not suppose to do that! So don't ! But it worked on the 2nd day. The 1st day I was a little sleepy, so I went to my DR. and he put me on 10mg 30 pills. They are a live saver. Funny thing is I also suffer a little from Anxiety and Zyrtec is also has some properties in it that helps a little from that. The Upside - No More Allergies . I mean NOTHING! Downside - I get dry mouth a lot, and I constantly carry water bottles , yes this is a side effect. I have been on Zyrtec now for 2 yrs and it has changed my life. I have to take it year around now and that is another side effect that the doctor didn't tell me about, My Summers are worse and I stopped taking it in the winter for a week but I get itchy, I have been told since it blocks my histamine this does happen so owell I am on it all year around and I have not built up a tollerance for it same dose 10mg 1 time a day and I function like a normal Human. But I still don't like Cats!! Sorry all Cat Lovers! :)
I checked around on several online Pharms and even Walgreens wants $75.00 for 1 month supply. I get mine at www.medsRXshop.com for $27.00 for a 2month Supply!! I am not selling here just suggesting to try this medication if you have allergies. But I have not found a better and cheaper place for this med than that site where my friend sent me. I can imagine living without it. It's at my door like clockwork every 60 days.
Check with your doctor and see if Zyrtec is the right med for you and please let me know if you have the same relief I did!
Happy New Years ALL!
Buyer Beware!

Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at 12:06 PMAs a health care professional and expert Internet user, I just want to issue a word of warning here in response to isuffernomore's numerous posts on this site over the past 24 hours.
This person is highly recommending an online pharmacy site. I've checked out the site and have a couple of concerns.
Apparently, you can buy any type of medicine, including controlled substances (pain meds) without a prescription. As someone who doesn't have health insurance, yes, I HAVE been tempted to buy from such sites in the past.
But here's the thing... you have to ask yourself, if a site is willing to sell possibly dangerous drugs over the Internet to people with no known medical knowledge without a doctor's prescription, then aren't their ethics a bit shaky?
Drugs can have dangerous side effects and aren't always right for every person. It really does take an expert pharmacist or health care professional to know if a drug could be dangerous for you. It's also illegal to sell prescription drugs without a prescription.
So, if a company is willing to flout the law and play loose with your health and safety in that regard, how do you know that what they're selling you is of good quality or even the drug they say it is? There are many such known scams on the Internet.
Now, I don't know anything really about this particular site and I'm not accusing anyone of anything. But you can't tell much about them from their site either. And on their order page, which is supposedly secure, I don't get the little lock in my task bar on the bottom that is supposed to indicate a secure site. So it made me wonder if it really WAS secure, despite their claims.
All I am encouraging you to do is to proceed with caution here. Maybe they're completely legitimate. And maybe they're not. You be the judge, but DO be careful with your health and your money.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 10:40 AMWhile we appreciate your concern and warnings, please know that there are a lot of uninsured folks who can refer to the Physicians Drug Handbook just as effectively as the overpaid, bureaucratic physicians (possibly not unlike yourself....who would not benefit from consumers patronizing such websites) and prescribe that best medication for them.
While it's not very wise, it's simply a reality and a chance that many often have to take. It might not be a very effective tool to provide such a warning when you clearly cannot be objective. But, thanks anyway.

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at 01:30 PMReese,
I'm not sure what you are attempting to intimate here. I have no vested interests in urging people to be careful about prescribing medicine for themselves, other than my concern as an ethical healthcare professional (I am a nurse and health educator) and as a fellow asthmatic and person with allergies. I do not receive any financial incentives for the health information I provide on this site, other than my salary as a writer, so I deeply resent your snide remarks.
While I agree that anyone can look up information about medications in books or on the Web, what you may lack that a doctor would have is the underlying foundation of medical knowledge. That could result in you making a decision that could be harmful. Medications can interact with each other in strange ways and can have unexpected side effects. Sure, this can still happen even if a doctor prescribes, but the doctor can use his/her knowledge and treatment experience to help prevent it.
There is also the risk of ordering online from an unreputable pharmacy (and remember I said I knew nothing about the one recommended in the original comment), which could result in you getting a drug that is not really equivalent to the legal version of the drug. It could be something else entirely, be of a different strength, or have additives that are harmful. There are documented cases of this happening, so I am not just fear mongering.
In the end, we each of us have to make our own decisions, and I can respect that. I only urge you to use caution. And I ask that you return your respect for me and refrain from making unfounded veiled accusations.
Thank you,
Kathi

Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at 03:41 AMI still think Zyrtec is the best Allergy Medication and also the best and safest in my opinion for Children who suffer from allergies.
I buy all my medications at www.medsRXshop.com the most affordable and trusted RX site I have found so far. I get my 60 day supply for under 26$ which most local Drug Stores charge $78 for just 30 pills. Delivered right to my doorstep like clockwork. They have other great affordable drugs as well. I use them for Tramadol, so my back. Which is also a life saver!
I am by far a Doctor and I know Zyrtec doesn't work on everyone but I have tried everything for allegies and Zyrtec by far is the best.
Downside! Drymouth so I have to carry a water bottle with me all the time. But at least no more suffering!

Wednesday, January 02, 2008 at 04:48 PMI full agree Kathleen and appreicate your concerns. But nothing on the site is a "Controlled Substance" I myself was in the medical field for years. As you know the purpose of a Online Pharmacy is to provide medications to people that are not able to afford them. Zyrtec for example is very cheap on this site infact 50$'s cheaper than most. As for secure it's very secure and has been a trusted -safe and secure site for many years. I order from this site and that is why I suggested it.
Have an excellent day.

Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at 02:35 PMI have severe asthma and severe allergies it would take days to tell you what I am allergic to. It would be easier to tell you what I am not allergic to. I have been taking Xyzal for over a year now and it is very good. I haven't had any problems. It's just as good as Allegra and I was on that for many years. This doesn't cause any drowsiness at all and works well even in a hive situation.

Sunday, May 10, 2009 at 05:09 PMI have been on Xyzal now for a week and it has helped me a lot. Try taking it at night before bed if it makes you drowsy. I wake up in the morning fine, no drowsy symptoms. My nose is dry not runny and my eyes are not itchy. I have heard it is expensive but spending more money to get relief is so worth it to me. I suffer with spring time allergies to grass and pollen. On another note, I have used the Netty pot and this also has helped clear out nasal symptoms from allergies. Another great product.

I live in Greece and have been taking Xozal, which I presume is the European name for Xyzal, since late February. Here in Greece, pharmaceutical companies are required to include extensive instructions about their medications, including possible side effects, what other medicines will interact with the new prescription, when you shouldn't take it and so on. I was interested to see that they specify that Xozal is for allergic rhinitis. So it seems that this is not a broad-spectrum antihistamine for any old allergy, and care should be taken in using it for other allergies.
Having said this, I have been quite happy with the results. I also take Singulair, and am happy to report that I have been essentially asthma free during the spring and summer, which are my worst periods.
