I am a 55 year old male and recently found out that I have a yeast allergy.  Over the years I have had a few yeast infections, but no doctor ever suggested that an allergy may exist.  It was a dermatologist that first pointed me to testing for it.

I drink a modest amount of beer/wine and have noticed that a darker beer will give me a headache very quickly.  My question is, " Is there any relationship between a yeast infection and the ability to absorb alcohol?".

For example if a breath test was administered after three beers to someone with an allergy by most available information they would not be over the legal limit.  With all conditions the same would the allergic individual's body take longer the process the alcohol and could be over the limit.

Thank you for your response.
