i have recently found mould on a piece of wood close to my bed and i am unsure what kind of mould it is. This is what it looks like:-

    Hi Tim253,

     

    WOW, that's pretty nasty looking stuff!! Are you suffering with allergies? If not, consider yourself lucky because to many allergy sufferers, mold like that would be a death sentance.

     

    You should have a professional come out to your home and find out where that mold is coming from and devise a plan to remove it. Even if you are not suffering from it (which is hard to believe) it is not good for you or your family to be living in a place where it is growing like that. Also, did you know mold has been linked to other ailments? There is an article located here that suggests mold causes depression!

     

    Plus if you were to ever sell your house, you wouldn't be able to do it until the mold was removed, because it is considered a health hazard.
