Do most allergy patients find better results with being treated by an ENT or an allergy doctor?

I have been a patient of an allergy/asthma doctor for about 7 months, but I do not feel that she has all the expertise/knowledge required to handle my allergies. However, I believe that an Ear Nose & Throat physican may have the total scope of information to handle my allergy problems. Why do some people choose an allergy doctor and others choose an ENT? Both provide allergy shots. However, an allergy doctor cannot truly treat my sinus condition and I have has 3 sinus infections within the past 6 months.

If you consult a good allergy or ENT doctor, they listen, see, test and prescribe some anti histamines or suggest surgery etc. without informing us the complete pros and cons of allergy and its treatment. They never tell exactly that allergy is not curable. They always find wrong with our nose! for surgery etc. and prescribe medicines whenever you visit them. I 've been suffering from allergic rhinisitis since childhood and undergone surgery also but stopped going to doctors now for this reason.(30 years experience!) For the last 30 years, no any doctor has suggested me for immunotherapy/ allergy is incurable etc. If I go to them they give antihistamine for a couple of weeks, and goes on like this (may be until death!)
