I am a senior citizen with celiac disease. I also have numerous food allergies. That means that most of my food has to bought in health food stores. Most gluten, wheat, dairy, soy and nut free foods, cost a average of 70% more, then normal foods. On a fixed income, this has become a real hardship. With universal healthcare, possibly these foods could be treated in prescription form, as in other countries.
