And i vibrate from the ear side by pressing my thumb knuckle against the earflap thing then really fast like rub it, so it maybe makes ear go in and out fast to makes a vibration to relieve the itch. I get it more around cats and hayfever. Two things hav helped me pretty well. Okay i read that it can be a dry ear canal. Like if you hav dry skin your ear canal is probably too dry also. Andif you take medicine thst dries your eyes, mouth, its dry in your ear canals too. So i drip olive oil into my ear and this works well. The second thing is in case germs are the problem, i put straight vinegar in my ear.then i dilute vinegar, the amber colored vinegar, and with a q-tip i dab it around where the ear canal tgriat junction is. I dilute bc straight makes me gag.often it looks like a tonsil reacion to allergy or cold gerns, white dot or dots, in that area. I dab on there. Thus brinfs reluef fir a long time. Also i do oil or vinegar , the vinegar if i wonder if its gerns, oil dryness and allergens, i put oil at the inside rim of my nose bc a mefical site said to do that too bc it will prevent allergens, cats, hayfever, dust, etc from going past that point into your sinuses, throat, ear canals. Thats a dryness of the mucus membranes of the nose, so drink plenty of water to help your body to be less dry so it can make mucus membranes more effective to function. You may have noticed breathing thru your nose and it goes straight to your ear canals and throat. The mucus membranes are too dry to catch allergens. So glad to feel others understand , that i am not alone, and hope this sharing is helpful.

I discovered long ago the absolute best remedy: vibrations from like a massager or something. Even better than that though is if you happen to suffer from asthma and have a nebulizer, take the end of the tubing where the atomizer and mouth piece attach stick that in your ear(obviously with nothing but the tubing). The feeling is eargasmic!! I actually have an entire process. Peroxide 1-5 minutes each side, alcohol 1-5 minutes each side, then using the pulsating air from the nebulizer dries out ear and vibrating of the tympanic membrane just seriously hits that spot like nothing else you can imagine. Hot water for skin itching like mosquito bites, chigger bites, eczema, etc.

I found very easy and good solution of itchy ears and inner throat, I was having this problem from last 1 year and now I used 2 drop of mustard oil in my naval, I have no itching now. I feel very good for getting freed from this problem. Try to use 2 drop of mustard oil in your naval after bath, I hope you can get relieve.

I cannot understand how putting oil in your naval stops an ear itch. The ear and the naval has nothing to do with on another and are far apart. that makes no sense at all. The nose throat and ear are inter connected And is called the auditorial system...because they function together....I Can see that... But the naval has no part of functioning at all connecting...

I have both food allergies and seasonal allergies. The itchy ear throat is an allergic reaction to something you are breathing and/or eating. I only found relief after having a skin allergy scratch treat test for both food & seasonal allergies at Allergy Specialist Office. I avoid foods that I have reactions to, and take daily maintenance medication including benadryl, mucinex D, singular, clariten, two different nasal sprays (1 is a antihistamine, & 1 is a steroid), corticosteroid inhaler, & albuterol my emergency inhaler. Finally, after 24 months of consistency of my medicine, I have found relief from the "irritating itching" of my ears & throat. Correct diagnosis, consistency of correct medicine, and time for your body to adjust, will hopefully bring you relief.

The same as mentioned above has happened to me since I don't know when. I remember my mom and aunt having the same problem, maybe it's herditary? I can not seem to find a cause since I'm not allergic to any food. It comes on when I least expect it. Perhaps it's an airborne allergy. I want this to go away so bad. I can not seem to find a cause since I'm not allergic to any food. It comes on when I least expect it. Perhaps it's an airborne allergy. I want this to go away so bad. I guess it's a relief to see I'm not the only one suffering from this malady. The vibrating shake (don't know how else to explain it) I give my ears and the pig like noise to relieve my throat is irritating and embarassing. Anyone have a solution?

Nystatin powder) is gone.  This helps tremendously.  I am also cutting way back on sugar and chocolate.  I hope this helps!

If you find that cure I'll be the first in line to get it.

I have since I can remember. I also do a weird noise because it's feels like scratching.

Recently I learn that this problems over time may cause the inside of my nose to grow making it narrower. I think that started already and I'll have appointment with an ENT to seek relief....

I had this about a month ago, and have it again after eating lunch with grated Parmesan cheese on top. I think it is when it is old cheese too that causes me this discomfort. There is so much pain after making that sound to scratch it. Ouch. Do I need to get ear drops or antibiotics from the doctor, even though I just finished some for the same problem.

the previous poster definitely has a shellfish allergy. You may also have a food allergy - they are very common. You need to consult an allergist to get diagnosed if you haven;t figured out what triggers it by yourself - and not just any old allergist either stay away from naturopaths  look for someone who is up on the latest research and treatments http://www.aaaai.org/...

For me, itchy throat and ears only happen when i'm having a cold, flu and coughing.   Gargle with salt, take raw honey with or without tea, drink hot soup/ginger/spicy soup help to relief the symptoms.
