I have been reading all the posts and am glad to know I am not so alone.  In addition to a garlic allergy, I am allergic to onion, yeast, mushrooms, vinegar, oats, tomatos, tea, milk and sugar (not to mention I am gluten intolerant).  So if it is a condiment, forget it.  If it comes in a can or a box, forget it.  If it is served by a waitress or waiter, forget it.  I have been unable to completely eliminate these things from my diet because I have refused to plan every bite that goes into my mouth, but I am slowly being forced into compliance by my increasingly severe reactions.  My doctor did not tell me to eliminate these foods, but to rotate them in my diet.  Eating should not be rocket science.  I appreciate the suggestions posted in this thread and will keep checking back for more.
