This is a wonderful piece and so important. Lately we've noticed my 3 year old pretending that she has food allergies when she plays with her stuffed toys or with her brother. In some ways I support it because it's her way of working through what she's experiencing. Other days I worry that she's feeling left out. I think the best thing we can do is to be aware of it and conscious of how she might be feeling so we can talk with her about it.
