    Thanx for sharing ........ While your menu sounds great, part of it would have been

    a no-no for me as I am allergic primarily to corn syrup and it also is in so many

    products (no marshmellows or rice krispie bars for me).  So I read labels as well...

     

    Also thanx for mentioning how your family doesn't get the gist of the allergy

    situation.  I have dealt with friends not understanding for years altho I have

    openly mentioned it to them and they definitely know I have allergies.  So if

    one of them has a brunch, I have gone to taking my own beverage or drink only

    water.  Also, I stick in my bag a few edibles (just in case).  They also like to

    make recipes from magazines (e.g., Southern Living) and use products and make

    desserts that have corn syrup in them for the sweetener.  How do you find a

    support group for food allergy sufferers?

    Sounds heavenly. I agree that socializing with other allergy families can be a welcome relief!
