I've been getting allergy shots for four months now, it's a cocktail for environmental, wasp, and animal allergies.   After one anaphylactic reaction (happened over an hour after the shot), I have had allergies WORSE than any time in my life.  I've developed asthma, have to take multiple benadryls a day.  It's never been like this, in my life.

My allergist is not taking my questions seriously. I keep telling the office that my allergies are now far, far, far worse than they have ever been, and they just shrug and tell me most patients get better.  I'm getting exponentially worse.  They keep telling me that everything is processed out of your system after 48 hours, but I have constant dysfunction now because my allergies are so bad.

Is it possible that shots are making me worse?  Should I stop and give my immune system a rest?  Nothing else has changed in my diet, environment, or life otherwise.  does this just have to get worse before it gets better?

An allergy is the immune system's over-reaction to a normally harmless substance called an allergen.
