3 year old allergy suffered

By Ebony Thursday, November 20, 2008

My son has a constant runny nose during the day. But what worries me the most is that he has drainage at night, and often coughs and chokes in his sleep. Sometimes he has even vomited unknowingly.

Claritan does not work for his allergy symptoms: running nose, sneezing and drainage. Has anyone used Singulair before, or are there any other recommendations for similar symptoms in a young child.

My son has asthma and allergy problems and his Dr. has him on Singulair daily and it works good for him. My only problem is that it tends to make him hyper so if you give it to your son make sure its a few hours before bedtime or in the morning. Also if they give him the granules we found it easiest to put it on a spoon with yogurt or applesauce and hand feed it to him since it has to be consumed in 15 minutes after opening. Good luck and I hope you find something that works for him.
