Severe Allergy reactions?

Why do i get swollen throats, feet, face and hands with allergy?
It always starts with an itch then the next thing i know the area starts to expand. The expantion happens even if i don't scratch the area. I and diagnosed with sinus and allergy problems. This is not a seasonal problem; though i find it to be more frequent in the summer.

I end up in the ER 3-4 times a year and it takes days for the

Anti-histamine i take to kick in.  for those reactions that doesn't require a visit to ER it seems like i have them almost everyday.  Sometimes i can link my reaction but most times i have no clue what could have caused the reaction. This is on days when i have had nothing to eat.

I've also had 3 Sinus surgeries.
