Living with a chronic illness

By ann901 Tuesday, October 02, 2007
Hello to everyone that reads this message. I am a woman living with asthma, hepatitis c, high blood pressure, and a lot of other health problem. I have no health insurance my job doesn`t offer it and neither does my husband job. He have some health problem too. I just want for all americans that are living with health problems to go where ever we need to go and protest for health insurance. We need to also try to form some kind of group that will fight for people that is living with hep-c. I received hep-c through a blood transfusion from a local hospital in my state. But i can`t get insurance because i am risk in having liver damage or liver failure (cirrhosis of the liver). There is no cure but there is 40 million people diagnose with it and some that do not know that have until they get sick. And also we need american to out in the world even if they are not sick and protest. I am very upset with our country for not supporting it`s own people.

Hi Ann,

There was a post just recently addressing this very issue. You can read it here at calling all advocates.

Good Luck to you and your husband!
