Hi-- I think I have a garlic allergy too.  All doctors think I nuts when I tell them about my reaction. When I eat it-- anywhere from immediately to three days later an aweful and painful rash breaks out that is similar to shingles on my left hand, right forehead or right nose... sometimes all. now I have started to notice this with shallots. Can you suggest anytype of resourse for someone with garilc allergies or even doctors?? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Going to a resturant is obviously insane and it's challenging bc my boyfriend loves to eat out and he LOVES CURRY :( I really want help so I can feel somewhat normal again....

Where were you able to find out about the FDA regulations for garlic? We've been struggling with labelling .... (He's also allergic to at least 7 other foods ....)

An allergy is the immune system's over-reaction to a normally harmless substance called an allergen.
