Thought I'd pass along news of a new iPhone application called RedLaser which allows iPhone users to scan food barcodes and instantly returns product information including whether the product contains any of the 12 most common food allergens. www.redlaser.com

You know, the allergy information is provided by FoodEssentials. They have their own iPhone app with much more useful functionality (for allergy and food intolerance sufferers anyway). I find it really useful.
Thanks for your reply. Food Essentials and RedLaser have teamed up to make this information readily available. Food Essentials uses RedLaser's bar code scanning technology. Glad you have found the information useful!
