itchy throat

I have suffered from allergies for most of my life. My worst month for allergies was around May and the off and on for the balance of the year. Itchy Throat

Of all the allergy symptoms I have, an itchy throat is the most bothersome for me. The only relief is when I can eat something and I cannot eat all day. Anyone have any suggestions? I am currently taking Claritin and it's not doing its job!
