allergy to garlic

I too am allergic to garlic. I developed this allergy about 5 years ago and it took me a while to work out what was causing my stomach cramps/spasms. If I ever eat garlic by mistake it really upsets my digestive tract causing spasms and makes it very painful to eat for 7-10days afterwards.
