I sing for a living, and recently I have been having problems with my throat feeling scratchy.  At night one side of my nose is completely stopped up, and remains about 85% blocked during the day.  Everything that comes out of my nose or I cough up is always clear.

I need help clearing this up because it is affecting my vocal ability!

Please help!!

If you are seriously concerned, then you should see your doctor right away.

It sounds like you might have a cold. Congestion, clear mucus and scratchy throat are all symptoms of the common cold -- but congestion and scratchy throat can also be caused by other conditions.

Allergies can sometimes be difficult to distingish from the common cold, but there are some giveaways. Click here for a list of common allergy symptoms and click here for common cold symptoms.

Again, see your doctor for a definitive diagnosis and treatment recommendations.

Good luck!
