Q: My 2yr old dumped sand on his head and now he has little red bumps all over his forehead that itch.

They are very little bumps that just about cover his forehead and hairline. He is constantly itching them. The sand he was playing in is used by hundreds of people every day and it was in a volleyball court outside in a park. He doesn't seem to have any other symptoms so far but its been 3 days and I'm sure what I should do. Do I take him in to the doctor?

Sounds like an skin allergy reaction to microorganisms in the sand. Beware amimals may also go in the sand box. Try shampoo with some vinegar mixed in.  I use vinegar with detergent to get rid of dust mites in clothes which cause me to itch.
