Q: Does taking an allergy medicine as a child reduse your body's ability to outgrow allergies?

No, Amelia, Taking allergy medicine as a child simply lessens your symptoms at that point in time. It doesn't affect whether you have symptoms later on or affect them in any way. Experts now know, though, that many people do NOT outgrow allergies as they get older.
