Q: can an allergy cause my foot to swell on top and go red

I have had a blood test, as my right foot is swollen on top, it goes a pinky colour like its inflamed, sometimes pain. they have called me back three weeks on for another blood test, what could it be

it sure can, though you would probably have had contact with an irritant only on that part of your body. is the swelling covering a larger area than it was? is it hot to the touch? do you have a fever? have you injured your foot? have you been bitten by an insect? you may have an infection, first mark the area of your foot with a pen, if the swelling keeps going outside the line then see a doctor, if you believe it's an allergy take benadryl and the swelling is sure to go down, if it's an infection  it won't.
