It is important to realize that Periactin like many drugs taken orally may, to some degree, pass into the breast milk. Some reports I have read state that it is not known whether Periactin gets into human breast milk. Most of these reports recommend breastfeeding be stopped if this drug is to be taken by the mother. I don't know if the child's age makes a difference regarding risk.
You should consult your pediatrician about this matter before proceeding.
