I've had sinus congestion and breathing constriction for years. Tried everything all the allergy tests, even to the point of having a chiropractor shoving his finger up my nose. Nothing worked, sleepless nights. In Florida during a, 'if you lay your head on your pillow you can't breath episode'. I got up and went to an all night Albertsons' where I found Drixoral. I took one green pill that night and slept like a baby and in two nights the conjestion was gone. When ever I felt the onset of this sinus condition I would use Drixoral for near instant and lasting relief. Now this miracle remedy is nowhere to be found. Why is that?
Q: Is it because DRIXORAL worked that they quit selling it?

Mr. Powell, many people on this site have asked what happened to Drixoral, with many going so far as to call the company and ask!
Dr. James Thompson, an allergist and one of our experts, sought an answer and this is what he found. Many other users on this site have found different information about Drixoral here.
I can't tell you that you can find Drixoral or that it will ever return, but I suggest that you talk to your pharmacist about a suitable replacement that may work for you.

Now my opinion is they will not be bringing Drixoral back in 2010 or ever...I would think they would continue making this medication at the plant that was making it originally then once they had all necessary authorizations and the new plant ready to go on line to start making it they would then switch production...I think their above statement is to appeaze us users and hope we forget about it as time goes on....But that is one users opinion! **I have tried Claratin-D 12 hour and it works okay but don't expect miracle results like drixoral gave!**
