Rashes in My Arms

Yesterday I noticed both of my arms with rashes, which at first did not itch.  This morning they began to itch, to the point where it went down to my fingers and itched.  I only itch ocassionally, not all the time.  I read on Family Health .org that it might've been a insect bite, but I do not recall coming in contact with an insect, didn't feel it.  Might've been a tiny insect that you don't feel the bite.

Obviously it wouldn't be a sign of Syphilis, yes?  I've been tested and came out clear.  What do I do and how do I treat it, or do I've to see my doctor?
