Sunday, June 07, 2009 Wendy S65 asks

Q: what can you give a person when they are allergic to all allergy medications.

my Daughter was taking Prozac for about 4 months in that time period she started to have hives. It has been about 6 months since she has stopped taking prozac and continues to get hives, it has caused allergys to foods such as wheat, riey, tomatoes, beef, lamb, and sesame seeds. She did not have these allergys before nor has she ever had hives before taking prozac. She also suffers from seasonal allergys, our main problem is we have tryed different allergy medications and found her to be allergic to them also, we have tryed Allegra, Clairitine, Allevert, Zyrtec and a few others.

When the Hives have become very bad we have had to go to the hospital there they have prescribed Prednisone and Pepcid which does work but taking prenosone for long periods I have heard can cause other issues. I would love any ideas on what could work.
