Raj,

If your friend has anaphylaxis then you need to get her to a doctor. It is possible that she could choke to death if her neck is swelling from an allergic reaction. You didn't say what caused the allergic reaction, but this is important that she see a doctor. While Health Central is a great place to get information to help you ask all the right questions, it can not take the place of your doctor's solid medical advice.

Please take care and stay in touch and let us know how you are doing!

Vicki's right, if you suspect anaphylaxis, then you need to get to an ER right away.

Be aware that there is only one medicine for anaphylaxis -- a shot of epinephrine. There currently is no other treatment for anaphylaxis.

You can read about the symptoms of anaphylaxis here.

You can read about epinephrine injections here.

You can read about how to prevent anaphylaxis and be prepared for it here.

Good luck!
