My 13 year old son has had asthma since the day he was born (breathing problems of one kind of another). He has had five hospitalizations, the last one in 2007 for 10 days in intensive care. we have seen multiple doctors, run a gammit of tests and to date he is on nebulizer treatments twice daily with two meds and twice daily Symbicort at the strongest dose. He still has diminished lung capacity and has been on this regimen for 17 months. We supplement his diet with probiotics, fish oils, berries and a variety of other health boosting foods. I am at my wits end as to what to do next. He is getting depressed with feeling sick chronically. Please some advice.....

Thanks for your response. Yes, we have seen an allergist and had a full awray of testing done on him. There are some environmental triggers but nothing significant (except for grass allergy). His technique has been checked each time we see a specialist or his regular pulmonologist and that seems fine. We have no pets, carpeting or anything else in our house that might affect his asthma. We have even moved to a different house to see if that would help but he is no better despite the environmental changes. Thank you for your suggestions.
