I'm 26 years old 4'11 & 89lbs. So I have alot of understanding on your position. Can't really eat alot if there is no appetite. I tried everything including super carb & protien diets. Caloric increases...Nothing worked. Eventually my doctor prescribed Periactin for me & it worked. Many medications have other uses & as a nurse I knew that Periactin is also widely used in treatment for anorexia & decreased appetite. It does have side effects but for me they only lasted for the first 2 weeks & then as my body got accustomed to the medication, they faded. Medications can work for each individual differently as each individual's body is different. I started off taking it in smaller 2mg doses & gradually increased to 4mg three times a day. I went from being 92lbs to 105lbs in about a month. After that it pretty much reached its peak for me but I was happy with what was accomplished. I got pregnant shortly after that & had stopped taking it so now that I've had the baby I'm super skinny again. Going to see my doctor soon to see if I can resume the periactin again. Bring it up to your physician & see what he suggests. It may or may not be an option for you.
